Quercus sp.

Quercus (Oak) is a common genus on Waldridge Fell and contains examples of invasive, non-heathland, tree species. Q. robur (Pedunculate Oak), Q. cerris (Turkey Oak) and Q. petraea (Sessile Oak) are all found at the Waldridge site in a variety of habitats from semi-natural woodland to open Calluna heath.
